Ultraviolet Hippopotamus hits Colorado

Grand Rapids band Ultraviolet Hippopotamus is back in Colorado for a run of shows that landed them at the Fox Theatre in Boulder last night. Starting in Fort Collins, Wednesday evening the band will play in Steamboat tonight and at Cervantes in Denver on Saturday night.
Deeply rooted in rock and psychedelia Ultraviolet Hippopotamus list their influences as Frank Zappa, Ween, The New Deal, Phish, Garaj Mahal, Lotus, Umphreys McGee, Pink Floyd, Rush, Steely Dan, Tool, String Cheese Incident and more. Here is a tasty nugget from last nights performance.
